Liberty Haven Farm has a heartfelt origin story that speaks to its founder’s personal journey and deep connection to animals. Founded in 2014 on what was once an empty lot, the farm began with a dream to create a sanctuary where animals could be rescued and where people could find healing through their interactions with these animals.

Carol Taurosa, the founder of Liberty Haven Farm’s, childhood experiences of seeking out injured and homeless animals in the woods were formative, providing solace and happiness amidst a challenging upbringing. Through these interactions, she found a sense of peace and connection that would later inspire her life’s work.

As an adult, her love for animals and nature, combined with the support of compassionate individuals, became a source of strength and healing. This transformative journey enabled her to overcome adversity and grow into a person capable of spreading joy and making a positive impact on the lives of others, both human and animal.
