History
Liberty Haven Farm was an empty lot that my husband and I purchased in 2014. As long as I can remember, my dream was to build a sanctuary to rescue animals and help people with the unconditional love animals give. I remember when I was little girl I would search in the woods looking for injured and homeless animals. It was at these moments I felt my happiest. From the animals, I was able to find peace away from my dysfunctional and traumatic childhood. As an adult, through my interaction with animals, and nature, as well as the support of many wonderful people, I have been able to gain strength to heal and grow.
This year I am blessed to celebrate my one year anniversary of being cancer free.

Since we purchased the land, we have built a barn, indoor riding arena, paddocks and run-in sheds to begin the path to my dream. We have also rescued miniature horses, goats, ponies, a donkey, dogs, cats, a ferret and a guinea pig. The entire project to date has been financed through the constant hard work of my husband. The cost to care for and feed the animals and maintain the equipment and land is exorbitant. In order to continue to grow we need your support. Please join our effort to help rescue more animals and provide a sanctuary for both them and people to heal and grow. Thank you for your support!
Sincerely,
Carol Taurosa
